INTERNET SERVICES & TYPES OF WEBSITE

Today, I'm got an assignment from my lecture to do a little bit notes that had finished learn on sub topic "Internet Services" and "Type of website" on subject computer science in this semester. So, I want to share about it by use a mind-map and I'm also put their definition and examples. I hope you all can get some information after finish read it.  

WWW : 

A world wide collection of electronic documents (web pages).
e.g www.google.com

E-mail : 

The transmission of messages and files via a computer network.
 e.g G mail, Yahoo! mail.

Instant Messaging : 

A real time Internet communications service that notifies you when one or more your established contacts are online an then allows you to exchange messages or files or join a private chat room with them. 

e.g Whats app, Yahoo! messager

VoIP :

Conversation that takes place over the Internet using a telephone connected to a computer, mobile device, or other device.

e.g Skype, We Chat. 

Message Board :

An online area in which users have written discussions about a paarticular subject.

e.g www.healthboard.com

FTP :

Internet standard that permits file uploading and downloading with other computer on the Internet.

e.g FileZilla, AbleFtp, SmartFtp. 

Portal :

A web site that offers variety of Internet services from single, convenient location.

e.g Yahoo!, MSN, iGoogle

Blog :

An informal web site consisting of time-stamped articles, or posts in a diary or journal format, usually listed in reverse chronological order.

e.g wiserboy.blogsport.com

Wiki :

A type of collaborative web site that allows users to create, add to, modify, or delete the web site content via a browser.

e.g Wikipedia

Online Social Network :

A website that encourages members in its online community to share their interests, ideas, stories, photos, music and videos with other registered users.

e.g Flickr, Webshots, Eyespot, You tube.

Business : 

A website contains content that promotes or sells products or services.

e.g LAZADA, Motortakaful.com, Kraft Food Inc, Lelong.com
